RhPAP has made the difficult decision to postpone the 2020 RhPAP Rural Community Health Provider Attraction and Retention Conference.
Originally scheduled for October 6 to 8, 2020 in Drayton Valley, the RhPAP Community Conference been rescheduled to take place in the same location from May 25 to 27, 2021.
This decision was not made lightly. For several months, we have been keeping a close eye on COVID-19 updates from the Alberta Government, and implementing all recommended precautions/protocols into the conference planning.
Our conference has always been well known as an opportunity to network, have meaningful conversations and share success stories with other rural Alberta community members. Given the current protections required to ensure a safe and healthy environment, such as physical distancing and wearing masks, these valued networking activities would be very difficult to ensure, if not near impossible.
With our conference registration being one of our highest ever at over 100 people, we are as disappointed as you that we have to move the conference to 2021.
If you currently are registered and still wish to attend next Spring’s conference, all you need to do is change the dates in your calendars. All registrations and hotel bookings will remain in place.
Participants may also request a full refund by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org no later than October 1, 2020. We will promptly refund full registration fees including Eventbrite administration fees.
Along with the local planning members from the Pembina Health Professions Attraction and Retention Committee, we are excited to continue our preparations for an even bigger and better event in May of 2021. Stay tuned for new announcements over the coming months!
