RhPAP is currently recruiting for a full-time Grants Associate. This position is a one-year contract with the potential opportunity for extension or transition to permanent employment. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Strategy and Stakeholders, the Grants Associate participates in the development and delivery of RhPAP’s granting activities. The core responsibility of the position is the ongoing operation and day-to-day management of continuing medical education grants and specialty funding programs with a return-in-service component. The position works with the Strategy and Stakeholders team to deliver granting streams to address emerging and ongoing needs in rural health care that match RhPAP’s priorities and strategic plan.
Job Requirements:
· Relevant post-secondary degree with a minimum of three years’ experience.
· Ability to work collaboratively and effectively with other team members from other areas of expertise within the organization.
· Strong research skills, including the ability to use diverse sources to identify medical education information, trends, assess needs and evaluate content and relativity.
· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
· Meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy is critical.
· Demonstrated planning, problem-solving, project and time management skills.
· Experience with web-based grant management or other CRM systems preferred.
· Ability to multi-task and prioritize workload.
· Ability to build and sustain positive, mutually supportive relationships internally and externally.
The successful candidate must have the ability to travel throughout the province, possess a valid driver’s license, and have access to a reliable vehicle. The ability to work flexible hours, as evening and weekend work may be required, is a must.
