RPAP supports rural physicians who wish to acquire additional skills - The Alberta Rural Physician Action Plan

The RPAP Recruitment Support Program – Clinical Privileges program provides an honorarium to candidates undergoing an assessment for additional skills, such as C-Sections and FP-Anaesthesia, necessary to determine a grant of clinical privileges, and to their preceptor.

Program Eligibility

To be eligible to apply, applicants are required to have successfully passed an assessment for additional skills required to determine clinical privileges, be licensed in Alberta, and practising in a defined Alberta rural area (Alberta communities except Edmonton, St. Albert, Sherwood Park, Spruce Grove, Stony Plain, Devon, Leduc, Calgary, and Airdrie).

What We Will Cover

The RPAP will provide an honorarium to the candidate undergoing the assessment for additional skills, and to the preceptor.

Payment Amounts

• ---

  $500.00/week to a maximum of $6,000.00 for the candidate

• ---

  Up to $5,000.00/month for the preceptor
