High School and Post-Secondary Skills Events
A key way of attracting health-care providers to rural communities is to allow them to experience rural practice and what it would be like to live in a rural community before they start making practice decisions. Opportunities that provide high school and post-secondary students with firsthand exposure to what communities have to offer can be an important first step.
RhPAP’s Rural Community Consultants offer support to rural communities who would like to host a local high school health skills day or a post-secondary health skills weekend.
