- On 24 January 2015, six medical students from the Universities of Alberta and Calgary were presented with the John N. Hnatuik Rural Medical Student Bursary for 2014-15. The Hnatuik bursary, named in honour of the late Dr. John Hnatuik, former physician and Skills Broker at RPAP, provides full tuition including differential fees for each year of medical studies to reduce the financial burden faced by rural medical students and their families … 2014/15 Recipients

Highlights
- The Town of Vegreville hosted a busy weekend of teaching, networking, and eating on 21-22 February during an RPAP Medical Skills Weekend event. First and second year medical students, nursing and physiotherapy students from the University of Alberta, and respiratory students from NAIT made the quick trip down Highway 16 to learn new skills, find out more about rural practise, and get a taste of Vegreville’s legendary hospitality.
- Over 200 high school students attended Lethbridge’s Health Careers Expo on February 10, 2015 to find out more about their prospective post-secondary areas of study. Exhibitors at the Health Expo, sponsored by RPAP and Career Transitions, ranged from registered dietitians and speech language pathologists, to physicians and lab technicians.
