Have you ever considered what it might be like to work in rural nursing?

Wondered what it takes to become a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), Registered Nurse (RN), or Health Care Aide (HCA)?

This recorded webinar explores the post-secondary pathways to these careers and is targeted to those who are considering a career as a nurse or health care aide.

Representatives for nursing programs at Lethbridge College, Medicine Hat College, and Red Deer Polytechnic outline the nursing programs they offer, and the qualifications needed to be accepted. Current nursing students share their experience in their particular nursing program.

And, the college representatives answer questions from those attending the live webinar. Check out this video to learn how a high school student could be in the nursing field in as little as two years out of high school!

Join us for our How Do I Get There – Rural Nursing Careers Pathways to Post Secondary Event, where we will be joined by representatives for our Post Secondary Institutions in the North Zone; Northwestern Polytechnic, NorQuest College, Northern Lake College, Portage College and Keyano College.

We are excited to learn more about their nursing program offerings, what student supports they have, what delivery options for classroom/online they have available and much more!

You will also hear personal pathways from current nursing students, and hear why they are interested in living and working in rural Alberta.

• What high school students should be considering to support your post-secondary education and career journey aspirations
• What a career as a rural nurse could look like
