May 12, 2020 marks the 200th anniversary of the birth of Florence Nightingale. Nightingale was a pioneer of modern day nursing. She revolutionized medicine with her no-nonsense approach to hygiene, sanitation and patient care.
In her honour, the World Health Organization has designated 2020 as International Year of the Nurse and the Midwife.
Being International Nurses Day, all of us at RhPAP send our heartfelt gratitude to all our rural nurses for all they do day-in and day-out.
Thank you for the positive impact you make on those you care for.
Thank you for giving hope to the hopeless.
And thank-you for your round-the-clock dedication to serving Albertans during the pandemic.
