COURSE OVERVIEW
This course will provide an evidence-based checklist for patient assessment, demonstration case studies, and interactive panel discussions to enable health care practitioners to engage in patient conversations around the use of cannabis. Course content focuses on impairment, risks, and benefits of using cannabis.
COURSE OBJECTIVES
The intent of the conference is for learners to:
- use a checklist to assess the risk of cannabis use in patients who are using or plan to use cannabis
- advise patients about cannabis use and the risk of impairment affecting functional activities such as driving and occupational activities
- advise patients at higher risk of harm about the risks of cannabis use
- provide examples of the use of cannabis for medical purposes

Physicians, Pharmacists, Nurse Practitioners, Registered Nurses, Psychologists, Social Workers, Other Healthcare Professionals, Residents and Trainees
