February 27 event to encourage local high school students to become health providers in rural Alberta
High school students from the Manning-area will learn basic health-care skills from local health providers at an upcoming RhPAP “Grow Your Own Health Provider” skills day. Participants will experience an interactive, skills-based introduction to working as a health-care provider in rural Alberta at Manning Community Health Centre on February 27, 2020. Students can speak with the instructors about health-related careers in the community, health provider job experiences, and the educational requirements for specific careers in health care. Grow Your Own skills events are intended to encourage high school students to consider a career in health care, while introducing them to the local opportunities available.
