Local high school students to learn what it’s like to be a health professional in their own community
Health professionals from Provost will teach high school students from the Provost and the Hughenden area basic medical skills at an upcoming High School Skills Day to be held at the Provost Health Centre on May 29, 2019. The interactive day offers students a hands-on opportunity to engage in common health-care activities. Students can also speak with the instructors about health-related careers in the community, health professional job experiences, and the educational requirements for specific health-care careers. The intent of the High School Skills Day is to encourage local students to consider a career in rural health care and learn about the opportunities available locally.
