Register today for the 2015 RPAP Annual Community Attraction & Retention Conference, taking place at the Double Tree by Hilton West Edmonton (the old Mayfield) on the evening of Wednesday, March 18, and all day Thursday, March 19.
This year’s theme is “Shift Happens!” acknowledging the year of change we have had in primary healthcare delivery in Alberta. The conference offers a full agenda, providing an opportunity for participants to network, and share ideas about how to enhance physician attraction, recruitment and retention within their own communities.
This event provides Alberta’s rural communities with information and resources to help attract and retain physicians in their local communities. Committees and interested individuals from across the province can connect and share information. Over 100 participants representing more than 50 communities across Alberta attended last year’s conference.
Most of the participating communities have active rural Community Physician Attraction and Retention (A&R) committees, which contribute significantly to supporting the successful attraction and retention of physicians to live and work in rural Alberta. There were also representatives from communities interested in forming or re-establishing a Community Attraction & Retention Committee.
The program will feature a celebration of the 2014 RPAP Award recipients, including the presentation of the 2014 RPAP Rural Community Physician Attraction and Retention Award.
