On Friday, September 22, three representatives from RhPAP met with members of the Alberta Association of Municipal, Districts, and Counties (AAMDC) in Lac la Biche. They provided information on RhPAP’s new mandate and role, and talked with AAMDC members about their concerns regarding health care providers in their communities.
Kim Fleming, Colleen Lindholm, and Paul Childs provided a short presentation on RhPAP’s new role, and the programs and services RhPAP provides to rural communities, physicians, and other health care providers.
District 5 of AAMDC consists of 13 Municipal Districts and Counties from the East Central part of the province. This meeting was an opportunity for them to discuss a wide variety of issues of concern, an opportunity for RhPAP to let them know about the work RhPAP does to support their communities, and for Kim, Colleen, and Paul to talk with elected community leaders one-on-one about concerns specific to their communities.
