The Psychiatry Online Literature Review Course provides the opportunity for psychiatrists to discuss current relevant journal articles. All discussions are held online in an asynchronous format so that participants can post their comments at any time.
Convenient method for psychiatrists to review journal articles, and their relation to practice with other psychiatrists, from the familiarity of their own office or home.
OBJECTIVES
This course uses distance education (DE) technology to provide Continuing Medical Education opportunities to psychiatrists who have distance and time constraints. Topics will be selected in accordance with the priority learning needs of the participants. Upon completion of the course, participants will be able to:
- discuss journal articles, related clinical practice and the application of new knowledge to practice
- demonstrate refined journal article critical appraisal skills
- participate in an interactive online community of psychiatrists
- interact with online learning resources and engage in personal learning
CREDITS
MOC Section 1 – up to 38.0 credits
Participants will receive 2 Section 1 CPD credit hours for the introductory conference and 3 Section 1 CPD credit hours for each online article discussion forum in which they participate.
