It’s been a busy summer at RPAP! Our staff of consultants and communications professionals have been on the road all summer, talking to rural Albertans about their health work force challenges and successes.
Catching up
In mid-July, we travelled to Grande Cache, to visit with physicians, John and Esther Gillett, and the talented multi-disciplinary team in that community.
Northwest Passage
RPAP communications associate, Lucas Warren, travelled to Swan Hills, High Prairie, and Spirit River to talk to people about the health care issues that affect their area.
Adventures in accommodation
RPAP’s Shawna Banman adventures this summer included sharing a truck cab with both a dog and a “moose”, and helping future health care professionals settle in for stinits in rural Alberta communities.
Register for the Practical Evidence for Informed Practice Conference
Join the Alberta College of Family Physicians for the 6th annual Practical Evidence for Informed Practice (PEIP) conference on October 20-21, 2017 in Edmonton, Alberta.
With two ways to participate (in-person or via live webcast), the conference is a fully accessible, multidisciplinary event that showcases relevant, evidencebased, and thought-provoking topics in health care.
PEIP highlights focused reviews on topical issues that combine evidence, experience, and patient values. The conference is applicable to a variety of disciplines including physicians, pharmacists, nurses, nurse practitioners, and other allied health care providers.
