RPAP and PARA team up again - The Alberta Rural Physician Action Plan

On 14-16 January 2014, the RPAP again partnered with the Professional Association of Resident Physicians of Alberta (PARA), to host a handful of recruitment events aimed at those completing residency in Alberta. Cocktail receptions were held in Calgary, Red Deer, and Edmonton. Residents from Family Medicine and Royal College specialties mixed and mingled with recruitment staff from across Alberta to find out about practice opportunities in Alberta. The attendees also visited booth displays about services that are available to physicians in Alberta. Booths included AMA Physician Locum Services, CMA Practice Management, the Alberta College of Family Physicians (ACFP), as well as the AMA Physician and Family Support Program. Thanks to all the residents who braved the cold weather to attend the events.
