- RhPAP’s Recipe for Rural Success: A mix of collaboration, capacity building, and passion
RhPAP has developed a strong community development and engagement program, based on over a decade of involvement with rural communities and their work to support health professions’ attraction and retention. Collaboration and capacity building enhance community efforts, accompanied with a rural passion for citizen health and well-being that further fuels the good work being carried out at the local level. - Building Community Capacity: RhPAP’s Rural Community Development and Engagement Program
RhPAP, as part of a panel with the Nurse Practitioner Association of Alberta (NPAA), gave a presentation on the community capacity building strategies offered to rural Alberta by its community development and engagement team. This work supports rural community health professions’ attraction and retention committees, and draws on evidence-based research and promising practices that have been shown to ultimately enhance rural communities’ efforts.
